This is a project that we undertook. The customer uses this daily as a delivery van having been fed up with the unreliability and performance of the original engine.
We fitted a 2.0 16v 115bhp Subaru engine with a custom built Freeway Flyer gearbox and a TSR brake disc conversion.
This van comes from southern Ireland and came to us the van having been through a full restoration. We put in a 2.2 16v 145bhp Subaru engine with a custom built 5 speed Freeway Flyer gearbox. It also had a TSR brake conversion.
This was a part project we took on, the customer knew exactly what he wanted, a one off custom built Beetle, we fitted a wrx quad cam turbo Subaru engine with nitros oxide, fitted a very heavy duty built IRS gearbox - estimated bhp is around 350.
This Beetle is considered one of the fastest road legal Beetles europe and is totally unique. Look out for it at Volksworld Show 2008
This type 25 was fitted with a 2.2 16v 145bhp and a custom built Freeway Flyer gearbox, we lowered the van by 40mm and fitted one of our lowered sumps.

Andy Raw, founder and sponsor of the VWA/E drag racing class, founded TSR with the Subaru powered Beetle "No Remorse" which became the icon of Subaru engine conversions.
Andy went as far as he could with that Beetle running a top speed of 127mph on a 1/4 mile drag strip in 11.27 seconds. Always wanting to go faster, Andy had a dream of a Beetle with a V8 engine and so the new car was born.
This was a totally new direction for TSR and was built from scratch with only the best products.
This car won 'visitors choice' at the Volksworld Show 2007 and run its observer runs at 'Flame and Thunder 2007'. It will make its racing debut at Easter Thunderball in 2008.
This was originally a show car for chisel, the customer was fed up with performance reliability and service costs, so we fitted a 2.2 16v 145bhp Subaru engine and a modified gearbox, believe it or not there is a custom made radiator at the front of this car.
This conversion turned this vehicle from a meek drive into a monster!
This van has come to us for a converison before going to paint, its having a 2.2 16v 145bhp Subaru engine with modified sump and gearbox. We have also put on Porsche drop front spindles and dropped the rear suspension 2".
This van is also having a heater system.
This is an air cooled type 25, we are fitting 2.2 16v 145 bhp Subaru engine, modified sump and TSR braking system. Obviously we will need to fit a radiator in this and all water pipes.

Mad or what?
This vehicle originally had a 1900cc diesel engine which was on its last legs. The customer did not want to buy a new diesel engine, so we fitted a 2.0 16v 115bhp subaru engine, combining this with a Freeway Flyer gearbox.
We also changed the fuel tank as this was possibly contaminated with diesel fuel - and we lowered it by 40mm. Finally we fitted it with a TSR brake conversion.
This chisel speedster hasnt had a subaru conversion it has had an engine out of a type 25 water cooled, we have replaced the radiator as this was damaged and set up engine, original conversion was done by Arnie Levice.
What a mad place to put a radiator, and it works!
This is a 1970 brazillian import, that is having a 2.0 16v subaru conversion, with a freeway flier gearbox, it is going to remain stock ride height, we are also going to irs the rear end, and fit a heater system, the van is going to look as original as possible.
This a 1962 split screen imported from Indonesia, an absolutley solid bus inside and out, it has had a late bay window front beam fitted, we are doing a 2.2 16v conversion with a TSR brake upgrade and a free way flier gearbox.
We are also going to drop the front and rear suspension, fit a lowered sump and a heater unit.

This is a 1958 Ragtop Beetle that has had a full restoration, every part on this vehicle has been replaced with new, it has had a full respary and is having a custom built interior.

This Type 25 has had a 2.2 16V Subaru conversion and a Freeway flier gearbox. The customer wanted maximum fuel economy and so the van was LPG converted and now returns 32 MPG. This van is immaculate inside and out.
This van was imported from California. We have fitted a 2.2 16V Subaru conversion with a Freeway flier gearbox, front and rear heater system and a CSP front disc brake conversion and full IRS.
It was painted inside and out by Reef paintshop. We also fitted a front door rollcage for extra protection.
The customer of this van asked us to personally customise this van into an automatic. We used a type 3 auto gearbox with modified flex plate and drive shafts.

This van came to us in a very sorry state. After extensive welding work to all panels, chassis and a new floor it was ready for a full irs conversion, we then fitted a 2.2 16v Subaru engine conversion a tsr heater system and a custom built freeway flier gearbox, we will also be fitting a csp front brake conversion and csp gearshifter. The combination that we put in was perfect for the job. It was also fitted with a tsr heater system.

This was one of the most extreme projects we have undertaken. We fitted a 2.0 wrx turbo engine pushing 250 bhp, we had to build a very heavy duty gearbox that could hold that bhp, we also lowered the van, upgraded the suspension to help with high speed stability and cornering it also had a rack and pinion steering system fitted, a front footwell roll cage and a tsr heater system. Just the look on andys face after test driving said it all!
